Yes. A hole. A hole which led to the foundation of an entire rather poor story line. For some luckless typist put the name Harold Wilson in place of Harold Bishop, a character who had supposedly been missing for many years from home.. And so it was a bad typo that led to the casting manager hiring the very dead, yet robotically controlled, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, Harold Wilson. This caused great controversy, yet it was eventually decided that Harold Wilson would be much cheaper than any breathing actor, as would the three whisky bottles who would appear later in the first series.
"Have you anything worth living for?"
Well as half the cast ended up being played by dead people or inanimate objects, probably not. Indeed Harold Wilson was far more human than many of the extras, which included a coffin to play the part of coffee shop owner, Daphne. Some people unfairly called her acting, wooden...
"Now get the hell out of our galaxy!"
